DBPrism CMS 2.1.1 is a long awaited version of 2.1 major update, look a the section DBPrism CMS for more detail of this release.

The main changes from previous version is the addition of a more user friendly operations, multi-site deployment and graphical installer/admin application using Jetty web container.

From the developer point of view, an CMS application archiver provides a simple way to install and deploy CMS application and a model view controller model is integrated using an Struts like controller and XQuery pages for replacing the JSP.

Here a partial list of the changes:

• Page search and directory scan properties customizable at user level
• i18n messages unified between menu and forms
• Mails are integrated for notifying users about some publishing events
• And export/import in .jar format is integrated to archive the XMLDB content, including WebDAV meta data information
• XQuery pages .xq can be used as JSP replacement using Oracle latest native XQuery support
• struts-config.xml is supported for decoupling the application navigation logic
• Latest Jxtp toolkit is included with support for log4j logging, CMS and user's properties
• You can run the CMS using Jetty as stand alone application only defining two environment variables (JAVA_HOME and ORACLE_HOME)
• Add/Delete/Edit RSS channels using the Front End and rss.xml public page
• Provide a preview link for pages stored in another public area
• Quick recovery of the page's content from a recovery area
